I have recently been giving the DivaCup a trial run because:

• I would like to save money
• I feel guilty about the waste from the plastic-applicator tampons I usually use
• I have always been kind of paranoid about Toxic Shock Syndrome

So far my thoughts:

• No leaks at all.
• I am used to applicators. Inserting the cup is kind of tricky, but I’ve managed it every time I’ve tried so far. It just takes awhile.
• The first time I took it out I dropped it in the toilet.
• Man, I never realized how gross menstrual blood is. It’s not like normal blood at all. More like dark red gooey mucus.
