Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was pretty good last night. The fighting was awesome, and there were some humorous parts, but the flying was a little fake. People kind of snorted when they started flying through the bamboo in the forest. For some reason it kind of reminded me of Mononoke Hime, even though it was animated and set in Japan (I think.) Anyway, I would recommend seeing it if you don’t mind subtitles (veterans of fansubbed anime will find it quite easy, though.) I checked my referrers today, thanks to my counter. I realized that I’m on greymatter’s most recent site list. I also noticed hits from this site. I was a little surprised when I visited it to find that the layout was totally copied from this site, and in addition the same fonts were used and the old journal script that I was using until this week. The colors and graphics have changed, but that’s it. This really bothers me, because it is really obvious that it’s the same layout. The webmaster does say on the index page that he basically “stole” this layout. I know how he feels — I’ve often seen layouts and used them as models, but in this case it seems just too similar, and I feel unoriginal with a copy of my layout on another journal site. I think I’m going to email the webmaster and ask him to please make another layout. Grrr….. This is so awkward.I woke up early this morning and fiddled with our new cell phone! I had charged it up last night, so today I added numbers to the phone book, set the clock, played the Snake game, called the weather just to try out the phone and then finally changed the ringing tone to (what else?) Ode To Joy. Apparently we have 2000 free minutes, so every call we make is covered under one monthly charge, meaning I can call Carrie/Maki/Ross! Yay!
